Alpha - Rummy
*Objective - To form multiple words with the highest point value
*Plays with 11 cards, 2+ players
Each player is dealt cards face down, remaining cards are placed in center pile, with top card being turned over as discard pile, available to the first player. Play begins with person clockwise from dealer.
Player draws card from center or discard pile. Players use cards in hand to form words which are laid down in front of player and are available to all players once laid down.
Words must contain at least 2 cards. Once player completes all desired words, they must discard to end turn.
Play proceeds to next player and all players get at least one turn to end round.
If a draw of more than 1 card is made from the discard pile, a word must be made using the last card picked up.
Play ends when first player uses all their cards and discards to go out. All points for cards remaining in players hands are totaled and subtracted from played cards total.
Winner is the player with the most points, or game can be played to a predetermined point total.
